HEREMA has been recently nominated as the responsible authority for managing on behalf of the Greek state the rights for permitting and licensing the areas for Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) developments. Moreover, HEREMA is managing on behalf of the Greek state the hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation rights and serves as the licensing and permitting authority for underground storage of gases and liquids (such as CO2, natural gas, and hydrogen).

Within this context, HEREMA is open to hiring an Electrical Engineer to join HEREMA’s new Offshore Wind Department in order to work, among others, on technical reporting, licensing and permitting processes, measurement campaigns, data management and conduct relevant research.

As an Electrical Engineer, your day-to-day activities will include the following range of activities/responsibilities:

  • – Provide technical advisory services for all electrical elements of the related projects
  • – Prepare technical reports and/or presentations regarding the proposed projects according to applicable code requirements and standards
  • – Provide technical support by addressing any electrical engineering challenges that may arise regarding the proposed projects
  • – Analyse and review of technical reports, studies and documents and conduct independent assessment and analysis of power systems
  • – Prepare progress reports, day-to-day operations, performance improvement and training as required
  • – Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies and latest advancements in offshore wind power and power systems engineering

During your contractual execution you will get the opportunity to:

  • -Establish relationships, coordinating and collaborating with relevant state authorities and offshore wind developers
  • – Work, as required, with other team members, as well as with other Company teams (Environmental, Geoscience, Legal, Finance), to deliver your projects or to assist the other teams in their projects
  • – Plan and attend, when required, meetings with third parties and/or investors related to offshore wind energy sector

You will also be able to actively contribute, and further develop your skills by engaging with teams that:

  • – Are involved in the development of proposals for funding
  • – Are working in achieving the goals set by the management
  • – Are striving to guide and share knowledge to junior personnel and resources

We would like to hear from you if you have the following Required Qualifications and Skills/Attributes:

  • – University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • – Master’s Degree in fields such as: Wind energy (specialising in Offshore Wind), Energy Management, Instrument and Control System Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems and interconnections
  • – >3 years of work experience in the offshore wind sector
  • – Instrument and Control System Engineering working experience and education
  • – Logical and analytical thinking skills with focus on problem solving
  • – Perform well in a fast-paced environment, constantly changing schedules and priorities, balancing external influences from customers, colleagues and schedules
  • – Full professional capability in Greek and English, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • – Competence in Microsoft Tools
  • – CAD Knowledge
