BOARD AND LEADERSHIP TEAM

Rikard Scoufias is a graduate of law (LLM) from the Collège d’Europe in Belgium,Uppsala University, Sweden, and Maastricht University, the Netherlands. In 2020, he was appointed by the Council of Ministers of the Hellenic Republic as Non-Executive Chairman of HEREMA. Rikard brings a distinguished international track record leading organizations through complex projects involving important safeguards for the  environment and social governance. He has built a career on the back of successful turnarounds, commercial negotiations, and deploying industry-leading innovation to strengthen relations between industry, government, and civil society. He has held executive and non-executive roles in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa, including as Country CEO for the geostrategic Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) and as member of BP plc’s senior leadership team serving at t company’s London HQ and in global roles responsible for international corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement and risk for several of the company’s high profile global investments. He is a prolific speaker and widely recognized thought-leader on ESG and “License To Operate” strategy and sustainability, and also supports leading think tanks, corporations in energy, mining and finance and non-profit organizations as a senior non-executive advisor and advisor board member. 

Aristofanis Stefatos holds a PhD in geology from the University of Patras and is specialized in environmental oceanography. In 2020, he was appointed by the Council of Ministers of the Hellenic Republic  as CEO of HEREMA. He has 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry focused mainly on exploration and production (E&P) activities. Prior to assuming HEREMA’s leadership, he managed private Norwegian hydrocarbon E&P companies, having acted as General Manager of Operations at M Vest Energy AS, and Director of Land Management and Technology at Atlantic Petroleum Norge AS before that. He is also a founding member of four Norwegian companies. His exploration work has been exposed to several geological settings, namely in Europe, North America, the Indian Ocean, West Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Antonis Natsikas holds a civil engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens, and is a graduate from the Department of Business Administration of Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE). From 1989 to 2012 he worked at DEPA as Deputy Project Manager in the construction of the central high pressure pipeline from Promahonas to Revithoussa, and then in the construction of the high pressure branches (Kavala, East and West Thessaloniki, Plateos, Oinofyta, Lavrio and Keratsini). He was DEPA’s Director of International Affairs from 2000-2005, and Deputy General Manager of International Works from 2007-2011, where he dealt with three interconnection pipelines. From October 2013 to April 2016 he acted as Chairman of the Board of DESFA. He was an elected member of the Association of Civil Engineers of Greece (1980-1982), the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE-TCG), and General Secretary of the Democratic Movement of Engineers, having been very active in trade unions and social matters. He served as Prefect of Chania from April 1990 to November 1991.

Michael Hadjitofi holds a first class honours degree in chemical engineering (1973), and a PhD and diploma from Imperial College London (1976). He is a UK and Cypriot passport holder, and currently lives in the Netherlands. He has 44 years of experience in the oil and gas industry working in global corporations, including BP, Shell International, and Tulip Oil and has led both upstream and downstream activties in the UK, Venezuela, Canada, Italy, Gabon, Oman, the UAE, Russia, Algeria, India, the Netherlands and Germany. From 2011 to 2017 he was an advisor to the Government of Cyprus on the development of upstream and midstream (LNG) opportunities. His key skills include reservoir engineering, field development planning/execution, E&P licensing, unitisation, PSA/tax royalty contract negotiations, joint venture management, project management, HSE management, and risk management.

Haralambos Haralambous holds a BSc in accounting and finance from the University of East Anglia. He is a chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He is also qualified as a financial modelling and valuation analyst. He has extensive experience in the regional oil and gas market, specialised in production sharing contracts (PSCs), joint venture contracts, government audits and reporting, internal and external budgeting, financial analysis, long-range plans, scenario analysis and project economics, building ad hoc financial models (power demand, shipping costs, LNG and pipeline tariffs), oil and gas price and hub analysis, assessing price formulas on project economics, and cost analysis. He has contributed to the modernisation and increased competitiveness of PSC, and has also worked as finance director in the technology and private investment sectors.

Dimitris I. Dimitriadis is a senior executive and held executive and non-executive roles both locally and internationally. He specializes in investment banking and structured finance, mainly in transport and energy sectors, as well as the financial management of energy and shipping companies. He is currently the Group Director of Special Projects in Public Power Corporation SA while in the past was Chief Financial & Strategy Officer in the shipping sector and Investment Banking Director specializing in sourcing debt and equity, including preparation for IPOs, private placements and bond offerings, the restructuring of distressed assets, corporate advisory and workouts, M&As as well as leveraged buyout deals. He also served senior banking positions in international financial institutions, managing asset-related debt portfolios, project finance, ECA-backed and trade finance transactions. In 2010 he and his team received the Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Financier award.He is Governor of the Board of the International Propeller Club (Chairman of the Administration Committee), member of Economic Chamber of Greece, as well as other local and international professional groups.
