Memorandum of Understanding between HHRM and CERTH
The Hellenic Hydrocarbon Resources Management (HHRM) and the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding on the exploration and exploitation of subsurface geological formations related to the presence of hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide and related chemical molecules.
The cooperation concerns the following actions:
i. Study of the geological formations related to the presence of hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide and related chemical molecules.
ii. Laboratory methods of outcrop and well samples from areas that HHRM has identified interest.
iii. Reevaluation and modelling of geological, geophysical and deposits data in Greece.
iv. Submission of proposals for research projects at European and international level on the broader field of exploration and exploitation of geological structures for capture, sequestration of liquid or gas chemical molecules.
It is reminded that HHRM, within the framework of the strategic development of hydrocarbon research in Greece, already cooperates with the Technical University of Crete, in projects related to the processing of geophysical data and organic matter analysis and participates in the Postgraduate Studies Program “Petroleum Engineering” of the School of Mineral Engineering Resources.
