HEREMA has been recently nominated as the responsible authority for managing on behalf of the Greek state the rights for permitting and licensing the areas for Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) developments. Moreover, HEREMA is managing on behalf of the Greek state the hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation rights and serves as the licensing and permitting authority for underground storage of gases and liquids (such as CO2, natural gas, and hydrogen).
Within this context, HEREMA is open to hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to work on public tenders conducted by HEREMA, as the Contracting Authority under Law 4412/2016, for all the activities of the company.
As a Legal Counsel, your day-to-day activities will include the following range of activities/responsibilities:
- – Providing legal advice regarding the conduct of public tenders under Law 4412/2016 related to all company activities
- – Monitoring and providing necessary comments on the tender deliverables prepared by external partners
- – Coordinating between external partners and the company’s internal collaborators concerning the tender documents to ensure necessary feedback is provided
- – Collaborating with the legal department on emerging issues related to Law 4412/2016.
We would like to hear from you if you have the following Required Qualifications and Skills/Attributes:
- – A bachelor’s degree at Law and bar admission
- – 4-6 years of working experience as a lawyer. At least 3 years of systematic and hands-on experience in public tenders in accordance with Law 4412/2016
- – Full professional capability in Greek and English
- – An LLM in fields related to energy or public law will be a significant plus
- – Good understanding of the Greek energy regulatory environment, taking into consideration the latest EU Target Model developments
- – Advanced interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- – Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- – Demonstrate the highest level of ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times with all situations and documentation.
- – Competence in Microsoft Tools
